Inside
LEGO Mini Motor #5225

After reading Chris Phillips' hint on how to open the motor,

I couldn't resist opening one of my motors.

So I did...

DISCLAIMER!!!
Please do not attempt to open your motor if you plan to sue me! ;-)
Proceed at your own risk!

Chris' theory was correct, I pushed the latch using
screws and paperclips through the holes on the top of the motor.
Some hand-eye coordination was required, but it was not brain surgery.

See scratches on the cover latches (foreground)?
A small price to pay for the joy of seeing what's inside...

On the left, you can see two pairs of three brushes, and one VERY TINY commutator with six contacts!

Below, I placed a 1x1 blue plate so you can see how tiny the commutator really is.

I wonder why LEGO had to make it so small?!
